Become a Comprehensive Classical Pilates Teacher
The Pilates method was designed to teach the mind to control the body completely. This 600-hour Comprehensive Classical Pilates Teacher Training teaches the interconnected system in its entirety, as Joseph Pilates intended.
The method was passed to Keren Patzia through her mentor, Jay Grimes, who studied with Joseph Pilates in his final years and continued his training with Clara Pilates for a further decade. Jay dedicated his life to protecting the integrity of the method and passing it on exactly as he had learned it.
That lineage is the foundation of everything we teach, handed from teacher to teacher for more than half a century, and informing every lesson, every exercise and every piece of apparatus you will encounter. We intend to pass it on with the same care.
Training structure
Across 600 hours, you will develop a deep understanding of how the Reformer, Cadillac, Wunda Chair, Ladder Barrel and Mat work together as one integrated method.
Training combines self-practice, observation, supervised teaching and direct study with Keren, supported by comprehensive course manuals and ongoing mentorship.
Throughout the programme, you will have access to a private community where you can ask questions, share experiences and stay connected with fellow trainees and graduates.
What to expect
Training takes place in Holmfirth, West Yorkshire, in small groups of no more than twelve participants, allowing for individual guidance throughout the programme.
Many trainees travel from across the UK to study with us, and required practice hours may also be completed at another studio, provided the same principles and intentions are maintained.
After completing the required 600 hours, you will be eligible to sit a two-hour examination assessing your teaching, self-practice and theoretical knowledge. Successful graduates receive a signed certification recognising them as a Comprehensive Classical Pilates Teacher, qualified to teach the complete Classical Pilates system.
Dates and fees
Training weekends are 27-29 November 2026, 8-10 January 2027, 23-25 April 2027 and 2-4 July 2027.
The course fee is £4,100. A £500 deposit secures your place and is deducted from the total course fee.
Deposits are fully refundable if cancellation is made at least three months before the course begins. Cancellations made within three months of the start date are non-refundable.
